Famous Quotes

This section of my blog is were I am going to post quotes by famous people, that I like or has an interesting or personal meaning.

“Labels are for cans, not people.”

Anthony Rapp

This quote shows how people are sometime quick in judging a person by there apperance and wanting to label them as something, sometimes without discovering the ‘real’ person.

“when everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”

Henry Ford

I feel this is sound advice when facing adversity therefore I am sharing it with you and hopes it help anyone with difficulties at the moment.

“All men who have achieved great things have been great dreamers. ”

Orison Swett Marden

This quote reminds me of the importance to dream and to never stop.

“Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things”

Denis Diderot

I love this quote I feel my passion for living and learning fuels my passion for writing. Without passion would we even survive day to day life or just become robot forms processing information without feeling.

“Minds are like parachutes. They only function when they are open. “

By Sir James Dewa

For those lacking inspiration take heed of this and open your mind. A mind is so powerful don’t let it go to waste.

“Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality. “

By Jules de Gaultier

I feel this quote fits with how I sometimes feel my imagination allows me to fight against reality and also analyse the reality of life.

  1. I love these quotes! Especially Dewa’s – I’m a big believer in open minds and their capacity to learn more things. You’ve got a pretty cool blog 🙂

I’m doing daily author quotes (alongside my own blurbs) for my writer’s Project 365 this year. I’m thinking I’ll use one of these for my blog! (http://valeriesuydam.wordpress.com/)
