I’m responsible for World War 2,
Iceberg right ahead,
Was I the one two blind two see it,
Of course not you weren’t born till 89,
Why can I taste the salt of the sea?
Here the bombs blazing,
Was I a coward who run and hid?
Will I go down in history as a champion?
Or another name on a gravestone.
I really wonder about you,
You say nothing,
Then something random comes along,
Nothing of substance,
Just an uttered word or two,
You don’t reply,
I don’t get you,
Are you fake?
Or are you shy and not sure what to do or say,
I don’t understand you,
Maybe now is time to stop.
I want to move you with my words,
The words tapping,
Like the rain falling,
I wonder if you know how much you hurt me,
Or even care,
Like a knife to the heart,
You inject fear,
Straight to the brain,
Hitting the veins of life.
There are so many things I want,
So few I need,
Communication is the key,
All that is,
All that can be,
Just open your mouth and say it,
Before all is lost,
Don’t take it out on me.
Communication is the key.
Never will be,
Or the definition of me,
Or what you think I will be,
Your definition of me.
Reflection in the mirror,
Reflection of what you have done,
Reflection of what you should have done,
Has the mirror cracked or broken?
Maybe you’re the only one,
The curse upon you,
Maybe it will last a life time,
Maybe a minute or two,
Can you put the reflection back together?
Piece by piece,
Change what you see,
Change who you are,
Change the reflection in the mirror,
Piece it back together.
